Those of us fondly remembering the days (and nights) of playing games like Bard's Tale or Eye of the Beholder may be interested in Ebony Spire.

It's an all-new b&w Macintosh 68k Dungeon Crawler much akin to the aforementioned classics. Here's some screenshots:

Looks really nice and gets me into the mood to play this on my Mac SE (which might be the minimum requirement, but word is not out yet)

There'll be a physical release by the British retro shop (modern browser needed) http://www.bitmapsoft.co.uk/

Right now, release date is january 2022. Crossing fingers - this looks very promising and fun to enjoy :-)

According to the dev, he's on the last few features and it should be released VERY SOON. Exciting! I haven't finished Hibernated yet and here comes another great new in 2022 Mac game. Hurrah!

Cornica now features a gameplay teaser for those who'd like to watch it on their original Mac :-)

Just talked to the dev and he told me that due to personal reasons he had to postpone the release until summer this year. It's, however, almost finished. Crossing fingers for a release soon! :-)

So I've talked to the developer yet again, wondering if this project was dead. Would be very sad! He told me that the game is 96% done, but the publisher is having issues. So it'll likely take some more time. Let's hope this get a release in 2023 as it looks really nice :)
