does anybody here remember the days of the N64/PS1 console war the oldest i remember is the days of xbox 360 vs ps3 i prefer to play both n64 and ps1 fun fact unlike the ps1 the N64 not only had dedicated video hardware made by SGI but had an online Japanese only service called Randnet for its ill fated disk drive ive never owned physically either console although i had a pichu/pikacu game boy color and a yellow game boy pocket and a blue and silver GBA SP (currently have a black OG GBA) and a dark blue OG NDS and i still have a slim PS2 model SCPH 77xx gee i wish you could play n64 on a system 7 Macintosh...

N64/PS1 console war?

Our first console war on the school yard was between the SEGA Master System and the Nintendo Entertainment System :D ..and I'm sure some members go back way further :-)

Not sure how well a N64 emulator would do apart from the technical issues - my impression is that many Nintendo64 games require the console's special controller. It'd probably be another round of "looks like the original, but doesn't play like it".

Luckily, N64 consoles are still to be had for a reasonable price and you can either collect your favorite games or buy one of those flash cards and flash them with whatever game you're having an appetite for ...

The console wars of my generation was between the Super Nintendo and Sega Megadrive/Genesis. The Nintendo 64 vs Playstation was a few years after that. As the oddball (and previous Sega owner), I bought a Sega Saturn which I still have to this day :)

also fun fact animal crossing originally came out on the N64 as Dobutsu No Mori
