I believe there are two models, the 600 and the 1200s. Is that DPI? How is the quality of the scans of these things? |

Yes there are two models, with the 600 being the most common. I used a Color OneScanner 600/27 for many years. It is a very nice scanner. I makes a fast scan of good quality. It has ColorSync profiles that allow it to fit easily into a work flow. It uses a PhotoShop type acquire plug in and makers of speciality scanner drivers generally support it. It can be used under OS X using a SCSI card and the excellent VueScan software. It is supported out of the box with SANE drivers for Linux (probably those could be used under OS X as well). I do not know if it is supported under Windows but it is likely that it is. bill

I have both the Apple OneScanner and Apple Color OneScanner. I know that there was also the Apple Color OneScanner 600/27 and Apple Color OneScanner 1200/30. I haven't used either of the ones I have enough to comment on the quality of them. Still, I have been considering finding a Color OneScanner 1200/30 because I know that I have compatible software for using it with Rhapsody. Sadly, even though the software sees my Color OneScanner on my main Rhapsody system, it doesn't work with that model.
