@68040: so I only use the Android version because I haven't figured out what I could run using Chrome OS' Linux mode where just some cool Linux things can be installed and run. I haven't been able to decide whether to dump Chrome OS and instead run a proper Linux compatible with my Chromebooks and then set Basilisk II up the way you've done. Now, don't get me wrong: I know that your way's the real way to go for sure, but I had been hoping the Linux side of Chrome could get the job done somehow, if only to be able to then hang onto some the modern stuff I do do online on the same Chromebook (using a VPN) for stuff like banking and endless online Mac software treasure hunts mainly, as well as my wonderful online how-to videos to help me figure a bunch of hard technical things out (especially since I'm not a programming maven like you, lol) ![]() It's because in my current setup, I just love not having to deal with any messy malware apps and the slew of anti-malware tools needed to keep all of the nasty web bugs at bay. Chrome and my emulated Mac OS 7 and 8 take care of that big gotcha one hundred percent using my all-in-one Chrome machine (at a outdated-and-buggy Basilisk II cost and Google tax, but just for now)

Sorry, CBallero but for me crippleware is crippleware - no matter how "user friendly" it claims to be. I do all my stuff in Debian and only use Android to boot the damn thing up. Chrome is just another Google ploy to fence in their user base.

I know, you're absolutely right; but daily I know that I'm getting closer to selecting a Linux distro I really like then go from there ![]() I came close with Elementary OS (based on Ubuntu LTS) a few years ago
