The dark season is approaching and I contemplate the the tasks at hand when the skies turn grey and the days grow short:

1) Finally CRC checksum every one of my 264+ thousand files.
2) Organize them authoring templates, now that I got Word 6 working again.
3) Try to write something meaningful with all those AI tools I assembled on my system.
4) Play some game, other than Chessmaster 4000, from time to time.

Haha, excellent choice! Any ideas as for what to write with the AI tools ?

I'm working hard with Cashed on a retro Mac related project. This time it's Mac OS gaming related and the idea is to bring the fun back to playing those golden classics.

Also will be firing up good ol' Claris Works for some Garden planning. Giving inflation and economic outlook here in Europe, it's probably a good idea to look into planting more stuff and optimize usage of soil.

Then there is System 7 Today, whose content I really want to continue to update and enhance, especially in depth. There is really so much more you can do with it than just playing old games. (not that it wouldn't be fun, late 80's / early 90's games are best!)

And finally there's three unfinished programming projects I really should dive back in again. Coding in ANSI C on the Mac can be pretty hardcore, but then also pretty fun and rewarding.

Looking really forward to the dark season! :-D

Well, I had been planning for some time to write a medieval fantasy tale less messed up than GoT. But by now Hollywood has so preoccupied this whole terrain, that it might be hard to overcome the prejudices that they managed to firmly implant into the minds of the audience.

Its like trying to make a SciFi movie w/o "swoshing" sounds in empty space or laser beams that creep towards you at a snail's pace. It just won't look "believable" anymore - as crazy as that sounds.

So I am uncertain right now what kind of tale I'll tell with the help of Eliza & Azile, Mugshot Maker a.s.o. Not to mention CineWrite, FinalDraft and IdeaKeeper (authoring tools).

In any case, I got nothing productive to do for the foreseeable future, so I might just as well try myself at being "creative" for a change.

The way things look, story telling will be the only realm left where ordinary mortals can still go and seek out adventures that won't turn into nightmares. ;)
