Given that our hardware Guide page is the most popular page on System 7 Today I've got to think on how to improve it. So I've written a model checker that works without JavaScript, thus retaining compatibility with older browsers. The idea is that you pick a Mac model and get a quick overview along with a "Overall System 7'ness rating" and a recommendation as for what System 7 version to install. Yes, that's a highly subjective opinion of Knezzen and me, but I think it might be a good start for newbies or those wanting to come back to System 7 Macs. Check it out here: Hardware Guide. Will be adding more models as time & testing permits :-) Maybe we'll add stuff like that for other categories like expansion cards, input devices etc. as well. I need to talk to Knezzen about this. As always, any input & suggestions are welcome :-) |
