Sorry if as been asked before, but I know there was a utility that could hide that question mark aid menu in System 7, but can' remember what it was called.

Whatever it is, we need it listed in the utilities section of the S7T site! :)

So you don't want the awesome balloon help anymore? :D Did you try disabling the respective extensions by using a tool like e.g. Extension Overload?

I'm not sure if that'll make the ? disappear, though. Apple built the help system into 7 as an elemental feature IIRC.

You might as well try your luck with ResEdit and a copy of your system file. I'd look for the MBAR resource within and then delete the respective entry for the help menu. That's probably the route I'd go.

Naahhh :) Takes a lot of place on a small screen, like on my Classic.
I'm sure I saw a utility doing that somewhere, but didn't download it at the time.
Dunno if it's possible to disable it with Resedit, but I know so little how to use it anyway...
I've asked the neighbors (MG), will see. no hurry :)

Got this from Mrdav on MG. Works fine :)
Funny the readme mention the same problem I have, try to use SuperClock with that Aid ballon there, it takes a good part of the menu bar.

Very nice! Can't access the google drive from the 8600 here, but it sounds like a great addition for our up and coming Goodies section. Can you report back with success? Works fine?

Yep ! Just an extension to drop on your System Folder, reboot, and pesky help bubble gone :p
Sources are included.
