Just freshly installed 7.6 on my PowerMac 7100/66. Now going through the important updates section here on S7T and getting the most important stuff. Runs very nicely so far ;-) |

Running 7.6.1 on my Powerbook 2400c and on a 2300 Duo Powerbook. Very pleased with both installs.

I installed System 7.5.3 on a Compact Flash Card (MaxFlash 4GB 233x) using a PowerBook 5300c. I used the Custom Install and selected the System version for "any Macintosh". I then used that "SSD" to replace the original hard drive (1.1GB) in my Duo 2300c. I turned Virtual Memory off. Very quiet, noticeably lighter and no problems. Will probably upgrade to OS 7.6.1 at some point. My PowerMac 9600/350 (512MB RAM) is running 7.6.1- very quickly! Thank you for this Website!

Just installed 7.5.3 and 7.5.5 on my Powerbook 150. It had 7.1.1 which I kept, so I can triple boot it using the old hide-the-finder-file trick. I've been keeping it in 7.1.1 lately, seems to use less memory than 7.5.5. No idea why I'm holding onto 7.5.3. LCIII has 7.5.5. Seems like it runs okay in 20mb ram. Bondi Blue is running 9.2. I think I'm happier with that than OSX.

Quote from: "cballero" Wow! A Kanga is probably the only G3 machine that this has any chance of success on. The Kanga is basically a 3400C Powerbook with a factory G3 upgrade so it's similar enough to the older model to fool the OS into running. Kanga was a stop gap machine until WallStreet was ready.
