Is there an equivalent to System7 today for OS9? Seems like my classic mac usage has boiled down to either System 7 for preG3 and OS9 for everything else.

I can come here for my System7 fix but where do I go for OS9?

Depending on what version of OS 9 you are using, check the versions of the individual components agains the versions on the System 7 Upgrades.  You wkll find a lot of them are applicable right up through 9 and on slower machines using 8.6, most are applicable.
