Hello, I have a .image file I cannot open in Mac OS 7.6 on a PowerMac 6100. Eventually I found out it's a copy from an old 400k floppy disc formatted as MFS. Is there a way to mount these files and read the content? Thanks. |

Mac OS 7.6 dropped write support for MFS disk, and Mac OS 8 dropped all support form MFS. I am guessing that the newer versions of DiskCopy dropped support in a similar manner. DiskCopy 6.x is the most commonly use version now, but there older versions of DiskCopy. So if you are using a later version DiskCopy you might look for an older version and see if it will mount your image. DiskCopy4.2 is from 1991. It can be downloaded here. bill
