Hi, everyone...just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been a PC technician for close to 10 years and have been tinkering with Macs since a dear friend gave me a Mac about 3 years ago. I have a 7200/90 with 136MB RAM and a nice ATI Rage 128 video card that can boot System 7.5.5 as well as Mac OS 8.1 and 9.1. I'm always looking for more performance and tried the Sonnet Crescendo G3/400 card...but it just wasn't stable enough for mission-critical work. The Sonnet has since been pulled out and I'm going to stick with running a lightweight OS and software to make the most of the 90 MHz 601. Ultimately, I plan to move my productivity applications over to the stable Mac platform and use my flaky Windows PCs strictly for gaming and entertainment... |
