Hey Dan, Hope things are well. I just got 7.6.1 up and running on an 8500/120 that I rescued... It's been tricked out with a 180MHz 604e and a 10k 5GB SCSI drive. I used your Netscape 4.8 installer. On first launch, it reported that "netscape.cfg" was missing from the Essential Files folder and froze. On subsequent launches, it will launch only if TCP/IP is NOT set to Ethernet/DHCP. Otherwise, it crashes. Deleting prefs starts the whole process over. I haven't had this problem on my 8600 or 9600 back home, but that was in November 2006 - could have been a different installer? Is this file supposed to be in the install package? Thanks for your help. |
