I'm looking for a Motorola 68882 FPU to put in my LC3-66FT Sonnet Presto Plus. Anyone know where to got one?

Freescale Semiconductor?   They're the folks tha manufacture them.   Order direct from the factory.  

You might be able to social engineer a free out of them.   I think they give free samples of some chips if you can convince them that your building a prototype something or other that could go into mass production.  Just kidding.

I have no idea where you would get one, but something tells me they shouldn't be difficult to find.   Almost like looking for potable water in a fresh water lake.  It's probably right under your nose.

Take a look at this image:

See that empty brown slot on the motherboard?   That's an FPU socket.   Check to see if your LC III already has one.   If it does, then you don't need one.

I know... I certainly have an empty slot... was looking to upgrade...
