i read the replies..all replies are helpful to me.

and i have usb floppy disk drive connected to Macbookpro
and i am using it now!
and my powerbook 520c have a Floppy disk drive in it!

this morning i downloaded the system 7.5.3 which is free from apple support website.
It is 19 image files . each of them is separated in 1.4mb for 3.5inch 2hd disk!
and i have only 2 disks....
and i don't know how to use it although i downloaded it!

the file name is "system 7.5.3 01of19.smi.bin"

i know it is a binary file but how can i use this?
plz give me some tips.!!

in mabook pro i double clicked it and the filename changed in to "system 7.5.3 01of19.smi"
how can i use this fileS??

SMI = Self Mounting Image, which you cannot use on a MacBook Pro.

If you have your PowerBook and MacBook Pro networked together, you can mount that Mac OS 7.6.1 install CD on the MacBook Pro, and mount it directly on the PowerBook and do a clean install from there.
