I installed 7.6 the other day on my 8500 (previously running 9) which I haven't used in years and it was awesome, it was such a blast from the past. It makes os 8's platinum appearance look too "prettied up" and stuff. Although I was having a little issue with getting windows to clean up properly in small icon view. And having to hold down the mouse in menus is annoying, but other than that, it makes me feel like I'm back in the old days. The biggest issue I have with it is I can't use usb though, that is literally the only thing keeping me from putting it on my 8500 for good. |

I only use 7.6 on 68k Macs. For PPC Macs my preference is 8.6. Apple really snotted up Mac OS 9 in my opinion. So I avoid it like the plague.
