Just made a mac with wavelan 7, instead of the 6 which I usually use. (The 7 shows all available networks by name). Kaboom! I was surfing before doing any configurating. First I wet my pants, as I thought I must had forgot to turn my wireless router's encryption on, but a quick check revealed that there is three (3) open wifis available. I live in the very centre of a city, so loads of people around here. It is nice to know that I will have a backup available, if my ISP go down or my router south. Please turn broadcasting off and encryption on, so you will not be paying your dear neighbors broadband. :grin: |
