Just once, though, I'd like to see a documentary or something that shows things besides concentration camps and stuff. Like, for example, the architecture, or the engineering achievements, or the stunning turnaround of the economy, etc... |

The grim reality, however, is that much of what was built by the Nazis was built by slave labour -- prisoners that were forced to engage in hard labour. The other realities of the Nazi regime are that unemployed Germans got jobs building the Nazi war machine. There was also a lot of wealth redistribution. ie. The Jews were robbed of everything they owned, and their material possessions were given to the Germans that were previously lacking wealth. This included everyday ordinary items like clothing, furniture, etcetera, and also included capital goods like property and homes. As the war progressed, the Nazis even made deals where they would be paid money by other countries and states to take the Jews off of their hands. Germany was not alone in its scapegoating of the Jewish people. The Germans turned their economy around by:
