1 Hardware / Your most current Mac
April 16, 2008, 22:09
My "newest" Mac is a Beige G3 with 320MB RAM and a 40GB HD. My "newest" Mac is a recently gifted IIci with a Daystar '040. I also have a 6400/200 which refuses to start.

At one time, I had an example of almost every Mac up to and including the Quadra 840AV. A move from a large house to a small apartment meant finding new homes for most of those however. The only one that remains is the 840AV.

I have a 7000, a PC version, and would appreciate a link to instructions and software to flash it for use on a Beige G3.

I'll have to check the speed of the ram in it, thanks for the lead. The ram on the '040 (128k) is a cache that is supposed to allow the card to run at full speed on the ci. Not sure how system ram affects things though. At least it is somewhere to start.

Hello,

I have acquired a IIci with the above, and the hard drive keeps getting corrupted. when I remove the 040, no more problems.

I have searched the net, and can find no answer to this. does anyone remember if this was an issue back when it was first introduced?

Thanks
