Operating System / Transferring files between an SE and...
December 18, 2008, 22:22 |
And anything else! I just acquired an SE. I don't have an ethernet adapter for it, so no way to get it online. It's running System 6.1.8. Everything seems to work, but the main way to get stuff off of it and onto it is via floppy disk. That's fine, but nothing I've tried works. I bought a USB floppy drive, but OSX doesn't recognize it unless the disks are IBM-formatted to begin with, and then, anything I format it *to* is unrecognized by the SE. The SE wants to reformat anything I have. I have a 7300/200 Power Macintosh running OS9.1. I can't seem to format any disks in a way that both of these computers will be happy with. Any ideas? I'd be fine with "downgrading" the 7300 to 7.5, but I don't know how to do so from a burned disk. Oh, and the 7300 is online, which is why it'd be a good liaison between the SE and my G5. Thank you! |

Software / Oh

I was under the impression that most of the stuff there was classified as "abandonware"--the truly illegal stuff gets taken down as soon as it's posted. Sorry. |
