That's awesome news, @Bolkonskij
Thanks for sharing. I will look into it and get one (or two :-)
2 Hardware / Re: AppleColor High-Resolution RGB Monitor

I love my CRTs and to me personally, they belong to a vintage computer for the full experience ;) But I can also understand that you got used to the flat panel displays. I use a Sony LCD with a grey enclosure with my Quadra 800 sometimes and it also has its qualities while still being not the 100% original experience.
3 Software / Re: Populous 2 2-Player possible?

Got it working now. Two Quadra 700s connected to my Ethernet LAN could see each other and could connect. Should be working then :) Happy playing god!

Just tried it out and couldn't get it to work with the first try. The naming of the dialogue options is a bit different than stated in the manual and when I select the multi player options, just nothing happens. Will try with the original disks again and keep you posted.
5 Development / Re: Netscape 2.x sources + enhancing it ?

Would be so cool to get Netscape 3 or 2 sources for the Mac. And help would be certainly needed and much appreciated to get it built successfully. I'm still convinced that it would be a great base to start a the definitive browser for System 7 on 68k with it. If the Netscape 5 source code is complete, maybe we could use it and do a spring cleaning of it :)

I'm finally joining this forum after Bolkonskij advertising for it tirelessly :)
Collecting classic Macs and NeXT computers, retrobrighting and recapping when needed. Trying to have everything running and not just for looking at the machines. Started back then in 1991 with my Macintosh LC, 12" RGB Monitor and System 7 Voucher in the box.

7 Hardware / Re: Need manual for Practical Peripherals PM14400FXMT external dial-up modem

Haha, thanks @Bolkonskij

I actually found a SupraFax 28.8 Modem (always wanted one back then) and connected it to an old Telekom Speedport 701V. Connecting my PowerBook G4 Titanium's modem to the other port of the Speedport and now they can call each other. Tested Zterm and FirstClass as well as sending Faxes with FaxSTF. Pretty useless but pure authentic retro feeling :)
