New Member Welcome / Hello Everyone

My name is Nathan from Fairbanks, Alaska. I just got my old Mac IIFX out of the garage and got it running again with OS 7.6.1. Still works Great. I even have the 1990 Macworld with the FX on the cover "The Fastest Mac Ever!". Quite the machine back then. I also run and still use another classic some old timers might remember the NeXT Cube running NeXTStep. Still works great. The OS is the same as OSX today. Mr. Jobs is a smart man, ahead of his time. You were right. All it needed was the driver for the StyleWriter 1200. My old printer is working great. I'm running OS 7.6.1 on an old Mac IIFX and it's working great also. I really enjoy The System 7 Today website it's been very helpful. Thanks again and keep up the good work. P.S. I even have my home set with this website. Thanks again, NC |

I tried that before loading the original software. Any other suggestions? Other printers showup Laserwriter's etc. But no StyleWriter. Help, it's driving me nuts. I even reloaded the system software and it still a noshow in the Chooser. Thanks |

Hi I'm running OS 7.6.1 on a Mac II FX with a StyleWriter II printer. I can't get the printer to show up in the chooser. I have the disks for the printer. Everything loads fine. I see the extension in the extension folder. It says it's a chooser extension. The icon isn't shaped like a system extension. I guess because it's a chooser extension. Can anyone help me to get my printer to print. Thank you. NC |
