Thanks for the reminder, I have a 1400c and do use compact flash to move data at times with that and completely forgot that with the 2400c. That will allow me to print from my TiBook but I wanted to floppy so I could use it with my PB180 and my 7600/300.

I have a problem that I need help with.

I bought a 2400c without a floppy drive and I can't get anything onto or off from the computer. I would prefer a floppy drive.

I would like an original style but is there another kind that would work with that computer?

I am looking for a floppy drive and cable for a PowerBook 2400c.

Is there another floppy drive that will work with the 2400c other than the original style? I know that the drive for the Duo's will not work, is there one that will fit that larger port on the back of the 2400c?

Thanks all but I bought a keyboard from the PowerBook Guy.

It has OS8.0 and I have the original cd. The only problem with using it without a floppy is that I can't get any data out of the computer after creating it.

I checked with the PowerBook Guy and he doesn't have either the cable or the floppy drive.

As always good with the bad.

1. I have a generic 7.6.1

2. The 2400c I bought off eBay is in excellent condition. The floppy drive doesn't have a cable and the cd drive came without a powercord.

3. It even had the original cd OS8.0.

Does anyone have a floppy drive or cable for the 2400c?

Really, I have opened up a few 100 Series PowerBooks. So let me get this straight.

Do I swap hardware then load the driver?

Will anything work without the driver?

I have wanted to do that, but that is beyond my skill level. Not sure how I can get someone to do it for me. Doesn't the NuPower G3 need a driver also?

I have a 1400 with a NuPower G3 233. It is fast. I just wish that it were in my 1400c but instead it is in my 1400cs. The 1400c is so much nicer.

Mine is generic and installed onto all of my 1400s very well. Maybe I am in luck.
