Those Mac Classics are pretty cool. I had a Mac Classic II a while ago. I did have my Mac SE/30 running as a file server with Mac OS 6.0.8 and AppleShare File Server 2.0. The Classics are capable of running both versions of the software I mentioned as well. Once I got all the settings for the server done I upgraded to Mac OS 7.1(which surprisingly left the server software and settings in tact). I got my software off of eBay and did see another copy of the same set of disks on eBay not too long ago. This is the route I would take for one of the Mac Classics you have. Good luck! |

Hi guys! Greetings from Easthampton, Massachusetts! I myself am a long time Mac user. My Mac army consists of a Macintosh SE/30(Mac OS 7.1), Macintosh Quadra 605(Mac OS 8.0), and my favorite trusty old Power Macintosh 5200/75 LC(though upgraded to Power Macintosh 5300/100 LC running Mac OS 8.1). The SE/30 needs the capacitors replaced so that audio works, but outside of that everything still works! All the Macintoshes have Ethernet cards installed. I am currently looking to add a Personal LaserWriter 320 to the Macs. |
