Hardware / Video card upgrade for powermac 7500

Are all the VRAM slots filled? If not, that's what I would start with. I think that would bring the on board video to four Meg's. Probably the easiest to find and least expensive too. J White |

I found a few items in my garage that need to find a new home. These are untested. 1. An ethernet card for the LC family. I think this was a pull from a Quadra 605. Card only, no software. $10 2. An Apple IIe card for the LC family. Includes the card and the Y cable, no software. $20 If my prices are out of line, feel free to make an offer. Shipping in Continental US should be fairly cheap, and not included in prices. J White |

I guess I could have put other. On our mini, I have the dock on the bottom with only a few extra items added. On our macbook, it's hidden, again with only a few extras. J White |

New Member Welcome / New Member, Old Computer!

I just found this site from Low End Mac, which is where I used to wander when I was into tinkering with my compact Macs. A few months ago, my SE/30 turned on all by itself after a lightening storm and wouldn't boot. After messing with it a bit, I unplugged it and figured I would try again later. This morning I opened the case and replaced the PRAM battery, and voila!, it's working again. The hard drive or fan is a bit noisier than I remember, but other than that , all is well. Even the external Syquest drive is working. I'm going to have to see if I can get this thing back on line; I've changed service providers a few times since last time I checked email with it.
