WWDC is tomorrow (6/11/12) and though not widely rumored, it is considered possible Apple could release a smaller iPad. |

My Performa 6300 7.6 is still used for older games, as well as an original bondi G3 233 iMac running 8.6. Warbirds is still a great WWII combat flight sim and runs excellent on older Macs. |

FYI .. this may help someone else ... I discovered that if one pushes the option key while selecting the options button in the 7.5.6 Apple monitor control panel it offers more resolution options ... problem solved! |

Hello ... if you're looking for games to run on older Macs there are plenty posted around the net to DL ... including this site. Escape Velocity is a classic game I would recommend and you can get it over at mac.org. Cheers! |

Hey, I tried using resolution manager on my Performa 6300 CD (7.6.1) but when launched it quits with an "unknown error." I'm trying to use a 17" non-Apple CRT but when connected the Apple monitor control panel only offers the lowest possible resolution and no other options .. any thoughts? Thanks .. |

thanks for the tips ... looks like the HD is a lost cause. I do have an external drive with system 7 on it so I can boot from there, but no luck reading the internal HD at all. |

Hi all! I have a Performa 6300CD that won't boot from the HD. It won't boot a OS 9 install CD, but it will boot a system 7 or 8 install CD. However, disk first aid and other tools show the HD as unmounted and "untitled" and unable to read from it .. disk error. Can't install either 7 or 8 due to the disk error message or a can't read/write the HD. Amy thoughts on what I could try to save the HD contents .... I did not want to reformat and lose everything  .... thanks for any help!!!
