Screenshot of Netscape 4 running For many years, System 7 Today advocated using Netscape 4.8 for PowerPC Macs with Mac OS 7.6. In the early 2000's, it was still somewhat compatible with the latest tech and managed to render websites halfway decent.

After S7T was revived in 2020, we extended our focus from Mac OS 7.6 to all versions of System 7. And we decided to take a fresh look on browsers available for System 7. Plug-ins

You can add QuickTime and other functionality to your System 7 browser. This will enable you to e.g. stream Quicktime videos on Cornica.org.

You can find the QuickTime Netscape Plug-in in the QuickTime folder on your hard drive. If you don't have it, you can download the Quicktime 5.0.2 Installer (which includes the plug-in).

There's also a wealth of other plugins out there waiting for you to explore, from MIDI playback to PDF rendering.
